Varahi9 Broadcasting Private Limited — Terms of Service
A few rules for us and for you. These Terms explain what you can expect from Varahi9 Media, what we expect from you, and what you can and can't do with our journalism. We've written them in plain English, but they are a legal agreement between you and Varahi9 Broadcasting Private Limited, so please read them. By using our services you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
The short version
Reading Varahi9 Media is free and open to everyone. To create an account, you must be 18 or older.
Our stories, photos and videos are protected by copyright. Share links and quote short extracts with credit, and ask us before you republish anything.
Use our services fairly: no hacking, no harassment and no pretending to be us.
If you send us a news tip, photo or video, it stays yours, but you let us use it in our journalism.
We look after your personal data as our Privacy Policy describes.
If something is wrong, tell us. We correct our mistakes, and our Grievance Officer decides every grievance within 15 days.
These Terms are governed by Indian law, and disputes go to the courts at Amaravati.
This is only a summary. The full Terms below are what count.
1.1 Welcome to Varahi9 Media. We are the news brand of Varahi9 Broadcasting Private Limited. We report on Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, India and the world, in English and Telugu.
1.2 These Terms are the rules for using our services and our content, and they also set out what you can expect from us. When we say “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean Varahi9 Broadcasting Private Limited. When we say “you”, we mean you, the person using our services.
2. When these Terms apply
2.1 These Terms apply whenever you use any of our services, on any device: when you read our stories, watch our videos, sign in to your account or send us something.
2.2 They apply from the moment you start using our services. If you don't accept them, please stop using our services.
2.3 We may update these Terms from time to time (see section 22). The version on this page is the one that applies.
3. What we mean by “services” and “content”
a. Services
Our websites varahi9media.com and app.varahi9media.com, your Varahi9 Media account, our official pages and channels on other platforms where these Terms are linked, and every feature we offer through them.
b. Content
Everything we make available through our services: stories, headlines, photographs, videos, audio, graphics, data, designs, logos and software.
4. When other terms apply
a. Services run by other companies
Some things inside our services come from other companies, such as the YouTube videos we embed or signing in with Google. When you use them, their own terms and privacy policies apply as well as ours.
If a feature, contest or event has its own rules, we'll show them to you before you take part. Those rules apply in addition to these Terms.
5. Age and our services
5.1 Anyone can read our news. Our reporting covers serious subjects, including crime, conflict and disasters, and some stories may not be suitable for children. Parents and guardians should guide what young people read.
5.2 You must be 18 or older to create a Varahi9 Media account. We never ask for your date of birth; we ask you to confirm your age. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete its personal data.
6. Using our services: the rules
a. Don't break or disrupt our services
Don't hack, overload or disrupt our services, introduce viruses or other harmful code, or try to get around our security. Don't access an account or area that isn't yours. Don't use bots or other automated means to create accounts or to reach the parts of our services that need an account. Don't copy, decompile or reverse-engineer our software except where the law allows it.
b. Don't harm or offend other people
Don't use our services to break the law; to threaten, harass, abuse or defame anyone; to share obscene or hateful material or anything that could incite violence or hatred between communities; to infringe anyone's rights; or to spread content you know to be false.
c. Play it safe
Protect your own information. Keep your password and one-time codes to yourself, think carefully before including personal details in anything you send us, and never share someone else's personal information without their permission.
d. Don't pretend to be Varahi9 Media
Don't use our name, logo or design in a way that suggests you are Varahi9 Media, that you work for us, or that we endorse you, your product or your views. Don't create accounts or pages that pass themselves off as ours. Our only official accounts are listed at varahi9media.com/qr.
e. If these rules are broken
We may remove what was sent, restrict or close an account (see section 21), and report the matter to the authorities where the law requires it.
7. Using our content
a. When you already have our permission
Reading, watching and listening to our content for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Sharing links to our stories, including with the share buttons we provide.
Quoting short extracts in your own commentary, review or reporting, as long as you credit Varahi9 Media and link to the original story.
b. When you need our permission
Republishing, copying or redistributing whole stories, photographs or videos, on any website, app, channel or printed material.
Using our content commercially: in advertising, products, paid services, newsletters, apps or databases.
Translating, adapting or editing our content, or presenting it as your own.
Removing or changing any credit, copyright notice or watermark.
Using our content in a way that suggests we endorse you or anything else.
c. How to get permission
Write to support@varahi9media.com and tell us which content you'd like to use, where and how. Permission is given only in writing, and it may come with conditions.
d. Content that belongs to other people
Some photographs, videos and other material we publish belong to the people or organisations credited with them and are used under licence. Their rights stay theirs, so you need their permission as well as ours.
8. Sharing our content
a. What sharing means
Sharing links to our stories, using our share buttons, and embedding our videos with the platform's own embed tools.
b. What you can do
Share links on social media, messaging apps and email; embed our videos as the platform allows; and add your own comments and views alongside a link.
c. What you can't do
Share our content alongside unlawful, hateful or misleading material.
Make it look as though you are charging for our content, or as though it is yours.
Exaggerate your relationship with us.
Place advertising or sponsorship inside or around our content so that it appears to be ours or endorsed by us.
Mislead people about where our content came from, or alter it.
d. What you must do
Keep our credits, links and labels intact, and promptly remove anything we ask you to take down.
e. One more thing
We may change or stop our sharing tools and embeds at any time.
9. Feeds, sitemaps and other data
a. For people
You may use our public feeds and sitemaps for your own personal use: to see our latest headlines and follow links to our stories.
b. For business
You need a written licence from us to use our feeds, sitemaps or content commercially, to copy them in bulk, or to include them in another service, product or database.
c. Automated access
Any automated access to our public pages must follow the instructions in our robots.txt file and must not overload our services. Automated access to anything behind a sign-in is not allowed.
10. Software and fonts we use
Our websites use open-source software and fonts, each under its own licence. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights those licences give you.
11. Things you send us
a. What we mean
News tips, photographs, videos, audio, documents, corrections, letters, comments and ideas that you send us (“submissions”).
b. It stays yours
You keep ownership of your submission.
c. What you let us do with it
By sending a submission, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and permanent licence to use, host, store, copy, edit, translate, publish and archive it, in any media, in connection with our journalism and our services. You confirm that you have the right to give us that licence.
d. We might edit it
We may shorten, crop, translate or correct your submission so that it fits our journalism. We won't misrepresent what you said.
e. We won't pay you
We don't pay for submissions unless we have agreed to in writing before we use them.
f. Your name
Where we publish your submission, we'll credit you as you ask. If you want to stay anonymous, tell us before you send it, and we will respect that as far as the law allows. We may also leave out a credit if naming you could put you or others at risk.
g. Moral rights
To the extent the law allows, you agree that our reasonable edits, such as shortening, cropping or translating, do not breach your moral rights as an author.
h. Your personal information
We handle any personal information in your submission as our Privacy Policy describes.
i. We might contact you
We may contact you, using the details you gave us, to check facts or ask about your submission.
j. What you can't send us
Anything unlawful; anything you don't have the right to share; anything that identifies a victim of a sexual offence or a child in a way the law forbids; malware; private personal information about other people without their consent; or anything that puts someone at risk.
k. Our decision
We decide whether and how to use a submission, and we may not be able to reply to every one.
12. Your Varahi9 Media account
a. Registering
You must be 18 or older. Give accurate details that are your own, and keep one account for yourself.
b. Signing in
You can create an account with an email address and password, a mobile number and one-time code, or a Google account. Once you have an account, you can add Face ID or fingerprint sign-in in Account Center.
c. Keeping it secure
Keep your password, codes and devices secure. You are responsible for what happens through your account unless it was caused by our failure. Tell us at support@varahi9media.com straight away if you think someone else has used it. We will never ask for your password or one-time code by phone, SMS or email.
d. What we do with your information
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights.
e. Changing your settings and deleting your account
You can change your details and settings in Account Center. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to support@varahi9media.com from the address on your account. We delete it within 30 days, keeping only what the law requires.
f. Settings on your device
Your language and theme choices are stored in your browser. If you clear your browser's storage, they reset. Signing in needs the strictly necessary cookies our Privacy Policy lists.
13. Our journalism
13.1 We report independently. Every story is checked and approved by our editors before it is published, under our Editorial policy.
13.2 Where we publish analysis or opinion, we label it as such.
13.3 We correct significant mistakes openly and promptly under our Corrections policy. If you think we've got something wrong, please tell us.
13.4 Our content is for general information. It is not legal, financial, medical, investment or other professional advice, so don't rely on it as such. News changes quickly, and a story is accurate as of the time shown on it.
14. Advertising and sponsored content
14.1 Our services may show advertisements and, where clearly labelled, sponsored content.
14.2 Advertisers are responsible for their own advertisements, products and claims. An advertisement doesn't mean we endorse what is advertised.
14.3 Our journalism is independent of our advertisers.
15. Links to other websites
Our content may link to, or include material from, websites and services we don't control. We aren't responsible for their content, their availability or how they handle your information, and a link doesn't mean we endorse them. Please read their terms and privacy policies.
16. Mishaps
a. Our services might not always be available
We work hard to keep our services running well, but we can't promise they will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors or harmful components. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of them at any time, for example to improve them, for security reasons or because the law requires it.
b. We provide our services “as is”
We take care over what we publish, but to the extent the law allows, we make no promise that our services or content will meet your needs or be complete, current or error-free.
c. What we're not responsible for
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for: indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss; loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill; loss caused by services run by other companies; loss caused by your own device, software or internet connection; or loss caused by your breaking these Terms.
d. What we are always responsible for
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit or exclude.
17. Your responsibility to us
If you break these Terms or the law in using our services, and that leads someone else to bring a claim against us, you agree to make good the reasonable losses and costs that result, to the extent the law allows.
18. Our name, logo and rights
18.1 Our services and content are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. Unless otherwise credited, they belong to Varahi9 Broadcasting Private Limited.
18.2 “Varahi9”, “Varahi9 Media”, our logos and our designs are our trade marks or brand features. You may use them only to refer to us accurately, unless we have given you written permission.
18.3 Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our rights to you, other than the limited permissions these Terms give.
19. Telling us about a problem
19.1 If you believe something we publish is unlawful, infringes your rights or breaks our standards, write to our Grievance Officer, Yamalaiah Sangam, yamalaiah@varahi9media.com, with a link to the content, what is wrong and how it affects you.
19.2 If you own the copyright in material you believe we have used without permission, include proof of your ownership. We will look into it promptly and remove or correct the material where that is right.
20. Complaints and grievance redressal
20.1 As a publisher of news and current affairs, we follow the Code of Ethics and the grievance redressal mechanism under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
20.2 Write to our Grievance Officer, Yamalaiah Sangam, yamalaiah@varahi9media.com. We acknowledge every grievance within 24 hours, decide it within 15 days, and tell you our decision.
20.3 If you are not satisfied with our decision, you may pursue the further levels of redressal available under those Rules. See our Grievance redressal page.
21. Suspending or closing accounts
21.1 We may suspend or close your account, or restrict how you use our services, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect our services or other people. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
21.2 You can stop using our services at any time and ask us to delete your account.
21.3 The parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue after an account ends, including sections 7, 11, 16, 17, 18 and 23, continue to apply.
22. Changes to these Terms
22.1 We may change these Terms, for example when we change our services or when the law changes. We publish every change on this page with a new version number and effective date.
22.2 If a change is significant, we will email account holders before it takes effect. If you keep using our services after a change takes effect, the changed Terms apply to you.
These Terms, with the policies in section 4b, are the whole agreement between you and us about our services.
c. If part of these Terms doesn't stand
If a court decides that part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
d. If we don't act straight away
If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
e. Transfers
You can't transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over our services, without reducing your rights.
f. Things beyond our control
We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
g. Translations
We may publish these Terms in other languages for your convenience. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
h. The law that applies
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory rights you have, disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, including the High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati.

1.1 Varahi9 Mediaకు స్వాగతం. మేం Varahi9 Broadcasting Private Limitedకు చెందిన వార్తా బ్రాండ్. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, తెలంగాణ, భారతదేశం, ప్రపంచ వార్తలను ఇంగ్లీష్లో, తెలుగులో అందిస్తాం.
1.2 ఈ నిబంధనలు మా సేవలను, మా కంటెంట్ను ఉపయోగించడానికి వర్తించే నియమాలు; మా నుంచి మీరు ఏం ఆశించవచ్చో కూడా ఇవి తెలియజేస్తాయి. “మేం”, “మాకు” లేదా “మా” అన్నప్పుడు Varahi9 Broadcasting Private Limited అని అర్థం. “మీరు” అన్నప్పుడు, మా సేవలను ఉపయోగిస్తున్న మీరు అని అర్థం.

3. “సేవలు”, “కంటెంట్” అంటే మా ఉద్దేశం
a. సేవలు

b. కంటెంట్
మా సేవల ద్వారా మేం అందుబాటులో ఉంచే ప్రతిదీ: వార్తలు, శీర్షికలు, ఫొటోలు, వీడియోలు, ఆడియో, గ్రాఫిక్స్, డేటా, డిజైన్లు, లోగోలు, సాఫ్ట్వేర్.
4. ఇతర నిబంధనలు ఎప్పుడు వర్తిస్తాయి
a. ఇతర కంపెనీలు నడిపే సేవలు
మేం పొందుపరిచే (embed) YouTube వీడియోలు లేదా Googleతో సైన్ ఇన్ చేయడం వంటి, మా సేవల్లోని కొన్ని అంశాలు ఇతర కంపెనీల నుంచి వస్తాయి. మీరు వాటిని ఉపయోగించినప్పుడు, మా నిబంధనలతో పాటు వాటి సొంత నిబంధనలు, గోప్యతా విధానాలు కూడా వర్తిస్తాయి.
ఏదైనా ఫీచర్, పోటీ లేదా కార్యక్రమానికి సొంత నియమాలు ఉంటే, మీరు పాల్గొనే ముందు వాటిని మీకు చూపిస్తాం. ఆ నియమాలు ఈ నిబంధనలకు అదనంగా వర్తిస్తాయి.
5. వయసు, మా సేవలు
5.1 మా వార్తలను ఎవరైనా చదవవచ్చు. నేరాలు, ఘర్షణలు, విపత్తులు వంటి తీవ్రమైన అంశాలపైనా మేం వార్తలు అందిస్తాం; కొన్ని వార్తలు పిల్లలకు తగినవి కాకపోవచ్చు. పిల్లలు ఏం చదువుతున్నారో తల్లిదండ్రులు, సంరక్షకులు మార్గనిర్దేశం చేయాలి.
5.2 Varahi9 Media ఖాతా సృష్టించడానికి మీకు 18 ఏళ్లు లేదా అంతకంటే ఎక్కువ వయసు ఉండాలి. మేం మీ పుట్టిన తేదీని ఎప్పుడూ అడగం; మీ వయసును నిర్ధారించమని మాత్రమే అడుగుతాం. ఏదైనా ఖాతా 18 ఏళ్లలోపు వ్యక్తికి చెందినదని మాకు తెలిస్తే, ఆ ఖాతాను మూసివేసి, దాని వ్యక్తిగత డేటాను తొలగిస్తాం.
6. మా సేవలను ఉపయోగించడం: నియమాలు
a. మా సేవలను పాడుచేయకండి, అంతరాయం కలిగించకండి
మా సేవలను హ్యాక్ చేయకండి, వాటిపై అధిక భారం మోపకండి, అంతరాయం కలిగించకండి; వైరస్లను లేదా ఇతర హానికరమైన కోడ్ను ప్రవేశపెట్టకండి; మా భద్రతను దాటవేయడానికి ప్రయత్నించకండి. మీది కాని ఖాతాను లేదా విభాగాన్ని యాక్సెస్ చేయకండి. ఖాతాలు సృష్టించడానికి లేదా ఖాతా అవసరమైన మా సేవల భాగాలను చేరుకోవడానికి బాట్లను లేదా ఇతర ఆటోమేటెడ్ పద్ధతులను ఉపయోగించకండి. చట్టం అనుమతించిన చోట తప్ప, మా సాఫ్ట్వేర్ను కాపీ చేయకండి, డీకంపైల్ లేదా రివర్స్-ఇంజనీర్ చేయకండి (అంటే దాని లోపలి నిర్మాణాన్ని విడదీసి తెలుసుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నించకండి).

d. Varahi9 Media అని నటించకండి

e. ఈ నియమాలను ఉల్లంఘిస్తే
పంపినదాన్ని మేం తొలగించవచ్చు, ఖాతాను పరిమితం చేయవచ్చు లేదా మూసివేయవచ్చు (సెక్షన్ 21 చూడండి), చట్టం తప్పనిసరి చేసిన చోట విషయాన్ని అధికారులకు తెలియజేయవచ్చు.
7. మా కంటెంట్ను ఉపయోగించడం

a. మనం ఒకరినొకరు ఎలా సంప్రదించుకోవాలి
మీ ఖాతాలోని చిరునామాకు ఈమెయిల్ ద్వారా, లేదా మా సేవల్లో నోటీసు ద్వారా మేం మిమ్మల్ని సంప్రదించవచ్చు. మీరు మమ్మల్ని support@varahi9media.comలో, లేదా మా ఫిర్యాదుల అధికారిని yamalaiah@varahi9media.comలో సంప్రదించవచ్చు.
b. పూర్తి ఒప్పందం
సెక్షన్ 4bలోని విధానాలతో కలిపి ఈ నిబంధనలే, మా సేవలకు సంబంధించి మీకు, మాకు మధ్య ఉన్న పూర్తి ఒప్పందం.
c. ఈ నిబంధనల్లో ఏదైనా భాగం నిలవకపోతే
ఈ నిబంధనల్లోని ఏదైనా భాగాన్ని అమలు చేయలేమని కోర్టు నిర్ణయిస్తే, మిగతాది వర్తిస్తూనే ఉంటుంది.
d. మేం వెంటనే చర్య తీసుకోకపోతే
ఏదైనా హక్కును మేం వెంటనే అమలు చేయకపోయినా, తర్వాత దాన్ని అమలు చేయవచ్చు.
e. బదిలీలు
ఈ నిబంధనల కింద మీ హక్కులను మీరు బదిలీ చేయలేరు. మీ హక్కులను తగ్గించకుండా, మా సేవలను చేపట్టే కంపెనీకి మా హక్కులను మేం బదిలీ చేయవచ్చు.
f. మా నియంత్రణకు అతీతమైన విషయాలు
మా సహేతుకమైన నియంత్రణకు అతీతమైన సంఘటనల వల్ల జరిగే ఆలస్యాలు లేదా వైఫల్యాలకు మేం బాధ్యులం కాదు.
g. అనువాదాలు
మీ సౌలభ్యం కోసం ఈ నిబంధనలను ఇతర భాషల్లో ప్రచురించవచ్చు. ఒక అనువాదం ఆంగ్ల పాఠానికి భిన్నంగా ఉంటే, ఆంగ్ల పాఠమే వర్తిస్తుంది.
h. వర్తించే చట్టం
ఈ నిబంధనలకు భారతదేశ చట్టాలు వర్తిస్తాయి. మీకున్న తప్పనిసరి హక్కులకు లోబడి, వీటి నుంచి తలెత్తే వివాదాలు అమరావతిలోని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ హైకోర్టు (High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati) సహా, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్లోని అమరావతి కోర్టుల ప్రత్యేక అధికార పరిధికి (exclusive jurisdiction) లోబడి ఉంటాయి.
